Best place in Chicago to watch an IU game! My wife is an IU grad and we visited Kirkwood for the IU / Michigan football game this season. We made it in time before the place was completely full. What a great atmosphere! It was like being in a bar back in Bloomington, IN. They had a lot of great drink specials and we enjoyed some really good appetizers during the game. We especially enjoyed the BBQ chicken quesadilla! The bar was standing room only, and shoulder-to-shoulder packed, but everyone was there to cheer on the Hoosiers and didn't mind the crowd.
This place is awesome! Great food, beer, and the best staff! We were glad to find such a great Husker bar outside of Nebraska! Go big red!!!!
We are from Nebraska and it was such a fun atmosphere and our waiter with the hot pink sneakers went above and beyond to make us comfortable! Will be back and recommend

Loved the uniqueness of adding bbq chicken to a quesadilla- which isn't really rocket science but was so good! Love this bar but after 930 it turns into a college hangout and it's a pain to get drinks. However love starting a night here for food and drinks and skipping out before the youth arrive

Your perfect neighborhood sports bar - Kirkwood is big and has TVs posted everywhere so anywhere is a great spot to catch the game. The drinks are big and the vibes are great. This IU alumni bar even plays this is IU after a big win.
Its like KOK in Chi-city, but with cleaner bathrooms! Just don't ask for Btown shots like "liquid cocaine", and you'll have a good time going down memory lane!
